Ingredients
  

For the marinade
  • cup olive oil Quality extra virgin olive oil is recommended.
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar Choose unfiltered for added health benefits.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos A soy sauce alternative for those avoiding soy.
  • 1 whole lemon (juiced and zested) Fresh lemon juice enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley Use fresh if available for a stronger flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Can substitute with fresh minced garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Adds a nice smokiness and depth of flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper Adjust based on your heat preference.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon pepper Freshly ground is best for flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients until well combined.
  2. Pour the marinade over up to 4 large steaks and allow to sit for at least 1 hour.
  3. Discard excess marinade before cooking steaks.

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate your meat for up to 24 hours. Store leftover marinade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Discard any marinade that has come into contact with raw meat for safety.
