Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 5-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Cooking Potatoes
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the potatoes, then season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Cook until they are golden and tender, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the potatoes and set them aside.
Cooking Steak
  1. Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
  2. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Sear the steak in a single layer, doing this in batches as needed, for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Be careful not to overcook the steak.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter and garlic to the skillet.
  2. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Return the cooked potatoes to the pan and toss everything together.
  4. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to heat through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet when cooking the steak; this ensures that they brown properly. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste. If you love garlic, feel free to add more! Use a meat thermometer to check the doneness of the steak for best results.
