For the Coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour blend for gluten-free version.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
For the Chicken
  • 1 lb chicken tenders Make sure to pat them dry before coating.
  • 2 large eggs Whisked until smooth.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
Coating
  1. Dredge each chicken tender in the seasoned flour.
  2. Dip it in the egg wash, letting the excess drip off.
  3. Re-coat with flour for a crispy exterior.
Cooking
  1. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer, leaving space between each.
  3. Lightly mist the tops of the tenders with more cooking spray.
  4. Air fry at 400°F for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil and sprinkle with a bit of salt.

Notes

To store leftovers, allow the chicken tenders to cool completely, then place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in air fryer or oven to retain crispiness.
