  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
Filling Ingredients
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easy spreading.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Adjust the amount for desired sweetness.
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Feel free to substitute with other berries.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder together until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, and egg. Whisk until mixed well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a rectangle shape.
  6. Spread the softened cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar and vanilla extract evenly over the dough.
  7. Evenly sprinkle the chopped strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
  8. Tightly roll the dough from one end to the other, creating a log shape. Slice the roll into about 10 equal pieces.
Baking
  1. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
