  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat, and let it cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the sauce is thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm over hot dogs.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding minced garlic when cooking the onions. For heat, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce. For sweetness, include brown sugar.
