- Gather all your ingredients: cilantro, mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, and jalapeño if desired.
- Place all ingredients except for water into your blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, while blending until the desired sauce consistency is reached.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if necessary.
- Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for later use.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days. Mix in a little water to restore creaminess if thickened.
