Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, packed Rinse thoroughly to remove dirt.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt Greek yogurt gives a creamier texture.
  • 1/4 cup lime juice Adjust according to taste for brightness.
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium jalapeño, optional Seeds can be kept for extra heat.
For Consistency
  • water tablespoon water Add one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is achieved.

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients: cilantro, mayonnaise or Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, and jalapeño if desired.
  2. Place all ingredients except for water into your blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Slowly add water, one tablespoon at a time, while blending until the desired sauce consistency is reached.
  5. Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if necessary.
  6. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for later use.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 5 days. Mix in a little water to restore creaminess if thickened.
