Preparation
- Start by spraying a baking sheet with cooking spray and preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large pot, place your frozen cooked meatballs or homemade cooked meatballs.
- Cover the meatballs with your chosen pasta sauce and gently fold them together.
- Heat the meatballs and sauce on low to medium heat, stirring occasionally until everything is heated through.
Assembly
- Take your sandwich rolls and fill each one with as many meatballs as you can fit (usually 4-5, depending on their size).
- Spoon more pasta sauce over the filled rolls.
- Arrange the filled sandwich rolls closely on the baking sheet and top each one with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Baking
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted, hot, and bubbly.
Notes
Serve with a fresh green salad, crispy potato chips, garlic bread, or a light soup as an appetizer. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days and reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes.
