Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 cups heavy cream Make sure it's very cold before whipping.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Adjust the sweetness if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur Can be omitted for a non-alcoholic version.
Add-ins
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped Fresh sweet cherries preferred; frozen should be thawed and drained.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chunks Can customize with different chocolate or fruits.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and amaretto. Mix until well blended.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the amaretto mixture until fully combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chunks evenly throughout the mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours or until the ice cream is solid.
Serving
  1. Scoop out servings and enjoy this delicious ice cream in bowls or waffle cones.
  2. Add extra chocolate chunks or fresh cherries on top for a decorative touch.
  3. Pair it with a warm brownie or pie for an enhanced dessert experience.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer with plastic wrap pressed onto the surface to prevent ice crystals. Stays good for about 2 to 3 weeks.
