Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, matcha powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve with powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh berries, or vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week. Can freeze slices for up to three months.
