  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 piece banana
  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice) Coconut milk can be used for a tropical touch.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon
  • to taste cubes Ice cubes (optional) Use for a chilled smoothie.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the avocado, blueberries, banana, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. If desired, add ice cubes and blend again for a chilled smoothie.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Serve with a garnish of fresh blueberries or a slice of lemon on the rim. Pairs well with whole-grain toast or a handful of nuts for a well-rounded meal.
