Ingredients

Bread and Filling
  • 1 loaf loaf of soft white bread (such as brioche or milk bread)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped optional
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Butter Mixture
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, green onions, parsley (if using), black pepper, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Slice the loaf of soft white bread open lengthwise, creating a pocket but do not cut all the way through.
Assembly
  1. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly inside the pocket of the bread, filling generously.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Brush this mixture over the top of the stuffed bread.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Wrap the bread in foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into pieces to serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
