Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
For the filling
  • 1 tbsp oil Used for cooking the onions
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 lb ground meat Beef, chicken, or any preferred ground meat
  • to taste seasonings Salt, pepper, etc.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add melted butter and eggs, mixing until you form a soft dough.
  3. If sticky, let it rest in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking the Filling
  1. While the dough rests, heat oil in a skillet.
  2. Cook diced onions until soft, then add garlic.
  3. Add ground meat and seasonings, cooking until the meat is browned.
  4. Allow filling to cool slightly.
Shaping the Pies
  1. Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll each between parchment paper into circles.
  2. Place meat filling in the center and fold or top with another dough circle.
  3. Seal the edges well.
Baking
  1. Arrange the pies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 22-25 minutes until golden brown.
Cooling
  1. Let the meat pies cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These meat pies can be enjoyed hot or warm. Pair with salad or low-carb dipping sauce. For extra flavor, add sour cream or fresh herbs.
