Cooking the Burgers
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form them into balls.
- Place the balls on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form burger patties.
- Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side.
- Flip the burgers, place a slice of cheese on each one, and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Assembly
- To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, add pickles, onions, and a drizzle of mayonnaise and mustard.
- Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
Notes
Serve these burgers right away while they’re hot and the cheese is melted. Can pair with a side salad or keto-friendly vegetables. For leftovers, store cooked patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
