Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier version.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas Can substitute with whole wheat or corn tortillas.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • Ketchup, mustard, and pickles, for serving (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it's browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Remove the cooked beef from heat and drain any excess fat.
  3. Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface.
  4. Divide the cooked beef evenly among the tortillas.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
  6. Top each tortilla with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced onions.
  7. Roll the tortillas up tightly to form wraps.
Grilling
  1. Place the wraps seam-side down in a lightly greased grill pan.
  2. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the tortillas are toasted and the cheese is melted.
  3. Serve with ketchup, mustard, and pickles if you like.

Notes

Serve these wraps right off the grill for the best taste. You can cut them in half to make them easier to eat or serve with extra dipping sauces on the side. If you have leftovers, let them cool down and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
