Ingredients
  

Meat mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 pound ground pork You can use lean pork for less fat.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or flavored breadcrumbs.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped Yellow or white onion works well.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Can substitute with dried parsley.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup For topping or glazing the meatloaf.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 2 large eggs For binding the mixture.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to your preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and eggs.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Use your hands to mix until everything is just combined.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  2. Once done, let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve this meatloaf with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a simple salad. For an extra kick, drizzle more ketchup on top or serve with barbecue sauce. Leftovers make great sandwiches!
