  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Any cheese that melts well can be used.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs For coating the bites.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Oil for frying Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, shredded cheese, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls with your hands.
  3. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat them evenly.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully fry the mac and cheese bites in the hot oil until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch.

Notes

These bites are best served hot and fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
