  • 4 slices Bread Thick slices such as brioche or challah are recommended.
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk preferred, but any milk will work.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp Butter For cooking the bread.
  • to taste Maple syrup For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook each slice of bread in the skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Serving
  1. Serve warm drizzled with maple syrup and add desired toppings such as fresh fruit or whipped cream.

Notes

For best results, use thick slices of bread and avoid letting them soak too long in the egg mixture. Feel free to experiment with different toppings and spices.
