Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, oregano, thyme, mustard powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Take the chicken breasts and place them upside down on a clean surface. Drizzle one tablespoon of avocado oil over the chicken and rub it in gently. Sprinkle half of the spice mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Flip the chicken breasts right side up and rub the remaining tablespoon of avocado oil on them. Finally, sprinkle the rest of the spice mixture evenly across the top.
Cooking
- Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serving
- Serve immediately alongside steaming vegetables, a fresh salad, or over a bed of rice or quinoa. Drizzle with your favorite sauce or garnish with freshly chopped herbs.
Notes
For thicker chicken breasts, increase the cooking time slightly while ensuring they reach the safe internal temperature. Marinate the chicken in the oil and spices for a few hours before baking for added moisture.
