Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, fresh parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning, letting the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs on the baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
These meatballs are versatile! You can serve them with spaghetti and marinara sauce, in a sub roll for a meatball sandwich, or on their own as a hearty snack. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
