Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water; the batter will be thin, but that’s what makes it yummy!
Baking
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and enjoy!
