Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Plus extra for dusting
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast Approximately 2 1/4 tsp
  • 3/4 cups warm water Around 110°F
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Plus more for brushing
For the toppings
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest Freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice Drizzled on top
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes Adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl and let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for an hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F, placing a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on parchment paper into a thin 12-inch circle.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper over it.
  4. Add mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, lemon zest, and drizzle fresh lemon juice on top.
  5. Slide the pizza onto the hot stone or baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Let the pizza rest for 2 minutes before slicing.
