Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium Potatoes Any variety can be used, such as russet or sweet potatoes.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Used for tossing the potato slices.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste, or use flavored salts.
Optional Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Optional for a hint of spice.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional for extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandolin or sharp knife.
  2. Soak the potato slices in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  3. Toss the potato slices in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool before serving.

Notes

To store any leftover chips, let them cool completely, then keep them in an airtight container at room temperature. They'll stay fresh for about 3-5 days, but are best enjoyed immediately for maximum crispiness. Tips include evenly slicing potatoes and not overcrowding the air fryer.
