  1. Rinse the millet thoroughly under cold water to remove any dust or debris.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in the rinsed millet.
  2. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes, add the milk, salt, vanilla, and sweetener; stir it well.
  4. Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the porridge is creamy and has absorbed the liquids.

Notes
