  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes Use fresh sweet potatoes for best flavor.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 unbaked pie crust unbaked pie crust Store-bought or homemade.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, heavy cream, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  2. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled or at room temperature. Add whipped cream or ice cream for extra indulgence. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for 4-5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
