  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
Filling Ingredients
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy spreading.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (optional for egg wash)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  5. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the dough.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut it into rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are close together.
  9. (Optional) Brush the tops of the rolls with a beaten egg for a nice golden finish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  2. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving to enjoy their gooey goodness!

Notes

If you have leftover rolls, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week. To reheat, microwave for a few seconds or warm in the oven.
