Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion Finely chopped for better mixing.
  • 0.5 cup milk Whole milk or any preferred type.
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 0.25 cup ketchup Reserve some for the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to preference.
For the Glaze
  • 0.33 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar For sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
Glazing and Baking
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the glaze ingredients (ketchup and brown sugar) and spread it over the top of the meatloaf.
  2. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  3. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For added moisture, consider adding diced bell peppers or mushrooms to the mixture. To make it spicier, include hot sauce or diced jalapeños.
