Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats Can use quick oats
  • 3 pieces medjool dates (pitted) Rich in natural sweetness
  • 1.5 cups non-dairy milk (cashew, almond, or oat) Can use any preferred type
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon Add more for a stronger flavor
  • 1 cup ice (optional) For a chilled smoothie

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by blending the rolled oats until they become powdery.
  2. If preferred, pre-soak the oats in the non-dairy milk to soften them before blending.
  3. Add the pitted medjool dates, choice of non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon into the blender.
  4. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  5. If you like your smoothie chilled, pour it into a glass over ice.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir or shake before serving.
