Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until everything is mixed and smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool in the baking dish before cutting them into squares.
Notes
Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar, or top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. To store leftovers, let them cool completely before placing in an airtight container. They last up to five days in the fridge, or can be frozen for up to three months.
