Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, cilantro, and red onion.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.
  4. Let the slaw sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh ingredients. Add jalapeƱos or cayenne pepper for a kick, or toss in shredded carrots or sliced bell peppers for extra crunch.
