Ingredients
  

For the Tiramisu
  • 2 cups strong brewed espresso, cooled Ensure espresso is cooled before using.
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur Can be replaced with vanilla extract for non-alcoholic version.
  • 2 cups sweet cherry compote Store-bought cherry pie filling can be used as a shortcut.
  • to taste Cocoa powder for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and amaretto liqueur, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the cooled espresso and layer them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  5. Spread a layer of cherry compote over the ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mascarpone on top.
  7. Dust the top with cocoa powder and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

To keep Cherry Tiramisu fresh, cover it tightly with plastic wrap or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay good for up to three days, but the flavors improve as it sits. For serving, consider adding extra cherry compote or chocolate shavings on top, garnished with a sprig of mint for a pop of color.
