Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups pitted cherries About 3/4 cup after pureed
  • 1 cup heavy cream Or half & half
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon amaretto Can substitute with almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pit the cherries to get about 1 1/2 cups of them.
  2. Place the pitted cherries in a mini food processor or small blender and puree them until you have about 3/4 to 1 cup of puree.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cherry puree with the heavy cream, milk, sugar, amaretto, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend everything together until fully mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami Deluxe container, ensuring it is filled right at or just below the max fill line.
  5. Freeze the container until the mixture is solid.
Churning
  1. Once the mixture is frozen, process it in a Ninja Creami on the Lite Ice Cream setting.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer and consume within one week for the best flavor and texture. Let it sit out for a few minutes before scooping if it becomes too hard. Adjust sugar based on taste and the sweetness of cherries.
