  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with lean ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use any cheese you prefer.
  • 1 cup diced onions Cook until soft.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup Can be replaced with barbecue sauce for a variation.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Can be replaced with barbecue sauce for a variation.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
Dough
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain the excess fat.
  3. Add onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onions are soft.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  5. Spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, straight from the oven, with your favorite dipping sauces like extra ketchup, mustard, or barbecue sauce.
  2. Pair with crispy fries or a fresh salad.

Notes

Store leftover Cheeseburger Pockets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) or microwave for 30-60 seconds. Customize the filling with toppings like pickles or bell peppers.
