Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the buttermilk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick.
Assembly
- Use a biscuit cutter to cut out circles from the dough.
- Place a spoonful of cooked sausage, some scrambled eggs, and a sprinkle of cheese in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges by pinching them together.
- Arrange the bombs on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or air fry at 320°F (160°C) for about 10-12 minutes, until they are golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
These biscuit bombs are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
