Ingredients
  

For the Smoothie
  • 1 cup blackberries Fresh or frozen
  • 1 banana Use ripe for best flavor
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (plain or your choice) Can substitute with dairy-free yogurt
  • 1/2 cup almond milk Or any milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness
Toppings
  • as desired additional blackberries Fresh
  • as desired granola For crunch
  • as desired coconut flakes Optional garnish
  • as desired nuts For added texture
  • as desired seeds Chia seeds or pumpkin seeds recommended

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a blender, combine the blackberries, banana, yogurt, almond milk, and honey or maple syrup if using.
  2. Blend until the mixture is smooth and thick.
  3. Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl.
  4. Top with additional blackberries, granola, coconut flakes, nuts, or seeds as desired.
  5. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

Store leftover smoothie mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day. Prepare ingredients ahead of time for quick serving, but add toppings fresh.
