Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 1 piece lemon sliced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound asparagus spears, ends trimmed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 piece lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons fresh basil

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut four sheets of heavy-duty foil, each measuring 12 x 18 inches.
  3. Place two lemon slices on each sheet of foil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture over the salmon fillets.
  5. Place each seasoned salmon fillet in the center of the lemon slices on each foil sheet.
  6. Divide the trimmed asparagus into four equal portions and arrange them next to the salmon on each piece of foil.
  7. In another small bowl, combine the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh basil.
  8. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the salmon and asparagus in each packet.
  9. Wrap the salmon and asparagus in the foil, securely sealing the edges to form a packet.
Cooking
  1. Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  2. After baking, carefully open the foil packets and enjoy. Optionally, you can broil for 1-2 minutes to crisp the exterior.

Notes

Make sure to seal the foil packets tightly to keep the steam in; this helps cook the salmon evenly. Feel free to adjust the seasonings to suit your taste. If cooking for a larger group, you can easily double the ingredients.
