Preparation
- Start by scoring the smooth side of the chicken breasts in a crosshatch pattern to help the seasoning sink in.
- Mix together the paprika, salt, thyme, oregano, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture generously over both sides of the chicken, rubbing it in well. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- While the chicken is marinating, mix the softened butter, grated garlic, and parsley in a small bowl.
- Once the chicken has marinated, rub olive oil all over the breasts to ensure a nice sear.
Cooking
- Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if needed.
- Place the chicken scored side down in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, turn the chicken over and spread the garlic butter over the scored side. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until fully cooked.
Notes
Serve hot, garnished with parsley and lemon juice. Pairs well with vegetables, salad, or rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
